What Is Food Heroes?
Food Heroes offer a range of educational sessions or fun and interactive cookery classes. Our aim is quite simple, get children involved in cooking with their families. Cooking with your child has so many benefits. It encourages adventurous eaters in later life, not to mention teaching them basic life skills. It builds relationships, not just between you and your child but with the food you are preparing and the mealtime that follows. At Food Heroes we are supporting families in building a positive meal time environment, the research shows that this has positive outcomes on children’s mental and physical well-being.
You can book to come and join us at one of our Food Heroes classes on Fridays or alternatively we can come to you and travel anywhere within Glasgow and Forth Valley. Whether it be into nurseries, schools, established parent and toddler groups or even birthday parties. We host a range of services to suit your needs.
Food Heroes support schools and nurseries in achieving the Curriculum of Excellence for health and wellbeing, literacy and numeracy. We also encourage parental involvement as much as possible. Please contact us to enquire further.

with your child and food”
Who Are Food Heroes?
We are Jenn Clowe and Kay Devlin, two highly trained and experienced Dietitians with over 30 years experience between us. We are passionate about providing healthy food to our own children and educating others to do the same. We have a wealth of experience working with children and families and a real love for all things foodie.
We met over 10 years ago when we worked together as Dietitians at NHS Forth Valley and became firm friends. We knew one day we wanted to do something different together. After both having two children and attending parent and toddler groups ourselves we realised that incorporating what we know about food and nutrition into something fun and educational that parents and carers can attend with their children could be something special and help improve children’s relationship with food and eating.

It will give you the chance to spend one-to-one time with your child and help in building relationships around food that can be transferred into the home. To the kitchen and beyond!
